MACARONI WITH CHEESE IN HAM LOAF

  1. Cook the macaroni in boiling salted water until tender. Drain and rinse with cold water.
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan and blend in the flour, salt, pepper, and milk.
  3. Add the grated cheese and horseradish, cooking until the cheese is melted.
  4. Place about 12 pieces of macaroni on each slice of ham. Pour hot cheese sauce over the macaroni, then roll up and fasten with toothpicks.
  5. Bake in a hot oven for 30 minutes or until brown.
