PUMPKIN PIE

Ingredients:

• 1 cup brown sugar
• 1 tablespoon flour
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon each of cloves, nutmeg, allspice, and ginger
• 1 teaspoon cinnamon
• 1½ cups canned or cooked pumpkin or squash
• 1 beaten egg
• 1½ cups scalded milk

Instructions:

1. Combine sugar, flour, salt, spices, and pumpkin, mixing thoroughly.
2. Add beaten egg and milk, then cool.
3. Pour pumpkin mixture into an unbaked pie shell and bake in a hot oven until a knife inserted comes out clean.
