CANNING PEARS

Ingredients:

Instructions:

  1. Peel the pears, leaving them whole or cut in halves.
  2. Core the pears and drop them into boiling hot syrup made of equal parts sugar and water.
  3. Boil for 5 minutes and pack into hot sterilized jars, filling quarts within one inch of the top with boiling syrup.
  4. Partly seal and process according to the temperature and time chart.
  5. Remove from the oven, completely seal, test, and cool.
