PEAR CONSERVE

Ingredients:

• 8 cups diced pears
• 2 tablespoons grated orange rind
• 2 tablespoons lemon juice
• 1 tablespoon grated lemon rind
• 2 cups crushed pineapple
• 8 cups sugar
• ½ cup orange juice

Instructions:

1. Mix all ingredients and let stand for 30 minutes.
2. Boil quickly for 20 minutes.
3. Lower heat and allow to simmer until the conserve thickens, stirring frequently.
4. Pour into sterilized jars and seal.
