  1. Peel peaches, cut in halves, and remove pits.
  2. Put peaches and whole oranges through a food chopper using a coarse blade.
  3. Measure the fruit and add 1½ times as much sugar.
  4. Cook until the mixture coats the spoon as for jelly.
  5. Add maraschino cherries, pour into sterilized glasses, and cover with paraffin.
