CHERRY COCONUT BARS

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. For the pastry, mix flour, margarine, and confectioners sugar by hand. Press pastry evenly in an 8-inch square pan. Bake for 25 minutes.
  3. For the filling, stir together eggs, sugar, flour, baking powder, salt, vanilla, nuts, coconut, and cherries.
  4. Spread filling over the baked pastry. Bake for an additional 25 minutes. Cool and cut into bars.
